Not too many games to choose from last night, but plenty of fantasy production went down - mostly before a National audience on TNT.  Let’s stay strong and finish up the last weekday of the month…

On a night that pretty much lacked spectacular lines, there were a few that still stood out.  No triple-doubles today folks.  LeBron James got hurt.  That’s why.

So did Chris Bosh, who deserves a mention, as he has been heating up nicely of late.  Still, there was a surprise scorer, dime-disher, and more than a few rebounders, on a heavy slate of Wednesday NBA action.

The Fig Cap: You know, this has nothing to do with today’s DDOTD.  Except that when I Googled LeBron, this is what I got.

Drew Gooden and Kevin Garnett - Fantasy BasketballDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!

The Fig Cap: Drew Gooden.  Multi-Tasker Extraordinaire.

Last week’s piece brought some highs and some lows, but this week brings even more waiver love as one of the game’s best point guards will miss the next three months after knee surgery.  Could Don Nelson finally be settling on a shooting guard?  Do we have a new point man in Minnesota?  Who the heck is Jamario Moon?  All these answers and more in this week’s edition.

Jamario Moon

Despite the Raptors/Pistons game starting in the middle of the day, the moon was shining brightly. Jamario Moon that is. In case you’re late to the Moon party, the undrafted 27-year-old rookie has started the Raptors last eight games at small forward and his athletic play is getting him noticed. Yesterday, the 6-8 forward erupted for the best line of his brief NBA career with 15 points, 9 boards, 3 steals and 6 blocks in the matinee victory. More info abou this Good Moon Rising after the jump.

The Fig Cap: His vertical leap is beyond all measurement. Don’t question it!

Sorry folks for the lateness of these rankings, but a little holiday plus some big time internet problems kept me from posting these until now.

Anyways, it’s an interesting schedule, with a slew of teams playing big four game schedules and a couple even playing just two this fantasy period.  Make sure you adjust accordingly.

The Fig Cap: Look who’s earned their way into the top 10.

Last week was definitely a bit rough as several of my mentions either succumbed to injury or simply underperformed.  Call it a jinx or call it poor timing, it just wasn’t a very fruitful exercise.  Here’s to hoping that this week is a bit different!

Stro Show dunking

The Daily finds what’s shiny each night, brushes off the dirt to reveal any blemishes and then makes a fair assesment in regards to certain players’ fantasy values.

Look at that man on the right. He looks like a natural. He’s so tall, so athletic and oozes potential the way Gilbert Arenas oozes cockiness. He dropped 24 points in 24 minutes last night and he’s center eligible. Sounds like you should act swiftly, right? Not if you know how Swift acts. Only a sucka would pick him up. And you’re not a sucka.

Stack Jack sheriff

In the middle of last season, a new sheriff came to town and a new way of life was established in the East Bay. One of his past transgressions caught up to him and for that he had to endure his punishment. After seemingly a lifetime of exile (actual time missed: 7 games), the enigmatic Warrior returned to battle with designs for glory. With Golden State’s season spiraling out of control already, this savior’s return couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

The Fig Cap: I’m only going to tell you this once
